We returned on the easyJet flight to Glasgow last night. When I rebooked the original flight for a week later I didn't spot that we'd 'lost' our original up front seats and with it Speedy Boarding and overhead locker luggage and easyJet had allocated us C and D in row 26! However in the end we actually had a very pleasant flight after the other passengers in 26 asked to be moved and were able to spread out...

The check in process whilst lengthy - about 45 minutes end to end - was quite smooth. easyJet had someone combing the queue before the desks checking passport, passenger locator form, covid fit to fly certificate and boarding pass. They also asked if we were double vaccinated but didnt ask for any evidence. They then gave them a little slip of paper to hand to the desk to evidence all the documentation had been checked.

Whilst I was anxious about the whole process I did feel sorry for some of the passengers - particularly elderly, non techie ones who did struggle with presenting all the docs either in paper form or electronic format. I was really impressed with the patience and helpfulness of the easyJet staff though who helped calm them down and took them through the process regardless. There was one youngster though who managed to lose their bit of paper between the end of the queue and the desk!

Boarding was fine although social distancing was non existent and mask wearing I would say by only 80%. We just stood back and boarded at the end.

I was worried about not having enough phone battery at GLA to show our passenger locator forms but that was all necessary as the form was linked to passport and the automatic readers took care of all that. In fact we landed just after midnight and we were driving onto the M8 just after half past! And that included NCP sorting out my £400 parking bill!

Enjoyed reading all your reports especially as we arrived home on 25/9.

Used the Glasgow e-gates in July and September no problem. I should have reported the link to PLF.

Cheers until we all visit again

Were booked (just villa so far) to go back in Oct next year. Could not get Sept - already booked by someone else. Our agent said they are already very busy for 2022 and also finding that many people are booking longer - she believed it was because people realised they could still 'work from home' as they had been for the past 18 months...
