Took some photos the other day but for the life of me I cannot get them on this site!

I have the Flickr app on my IPad with the photos on, I have clicked the insert image icon on this site and have copied the URL into the box, what am I doing wrong? It doesn't give me the option of a BB code on the app.:confused::confused:

Has anybody copied photos from Flickr using an IPad?

Whaley you can only post actual photos by using the BB code. But you can click on the "Add a link" icon and put in the URL code, only the link will show but we can then click on that to see your pics, i hope this helps

You can only post photos that are already hosted on another website e.g. flickR or another photo storage website.

Am afraid you cannot upload photos from your PC onto the forum as we do not have enough space to store them ;).

Good plan, Sparky.
Much as we all love PP, multiple members multiple holiday photos of generic Pine Walk views may well be overkill ;)

Hi Clinkham,

Not sure your point ? can you explain

Not what I had in mind. Often when cycling around specially during winter you see things that people would find of interest specially now with all the work. would be easy to snap a pic with phone and post it to keep people updated . But the system is so complex that its not easy. And is time consuming. So I do not bother. That was my point was not suggesting we are subjected to everybody Holiday snaps. I agree that would not be ideal.:D

There isn't a no photo rule, it is just no photos stored on the forum sever, you can post any photo if it is hosted elsewhere like on Flickr for instance, if you are over there and able to, please do post any winter pics, its a lifeline for us poor people stuck over here!! ;)

Its such a pain getting pics off phone then onto flicker then finding the correct code etc etc sorry its ok for the people that use all theses social network sites and are used to this but for most of us its just a headache and often

As the saying goes "No pain no gain" ;).

Just to clarify one point Fil, Flickr is not a "social network site", it is a place to store all your photos which saves memory on your computer :).

Hi Whaley, didn't read your question properly, I dont usually use the iPad for posting pics, and when I checked I see what you mean, you dont get the BBcode option with the app! Its the same with my iPhone too, still works from the web though, I Will look into it and see if I can find it.

You're not alone ...
Not on Apple user, but this forum suggests a 'single finger double tap' as a solution to get the BBcode on an iPad -

I think the answer is you cant currently post photos from your iPad or iPhone, you will have to use a laptop or PC!
