We went for breakfast. Bocchoris doesn’t open until 10, so we’d gone for a longish walk beforehand and rocked up with an appetite. There’s a number of places round the Port that offer breakfast – almost invariably the “Full English” or a version of the “Continental”. Bocchoris is different. Alongside, those two common breakfasts, it offers its interpretation of the “full” breakfast” of several different nationalities, as well as a range of other breakfast items.

A granola bowl wasn’t quite that. Yes, there was a spoonful or two of granola for texture, but this was mainly a bowl of fruits and yoghurt. And was just the thing for a lightish breakfast. The American breakfast had crispy streaky bacon, scrambled egg, pancake with maple syrup, chopped fruit and toast. OK, maybe not quite a South Carolina diner breakfast, but pretty good. It comes with coffee and OJ. I waddled away back to the apartment in need of a lie down.

I have just been told that they will be closed tomorrow, Saturday 11th of May and will reopen again midday Sunday 12th.

This is a one off due to a family event taking place.

Closing day will continue to be every Tuesday.

Without a doubt one of the best coffee/breakfast stops in the Port. Excellent food, great position and the staff led by Xisco are superb.
