Hi all,

We are on hols in PP at the moment and, brought our inflatable paddle board with us. Does anyone know if there are any ripules constraints on launching it from the public beaches, as don’t want myself or the kids to get told off in Spanish! Thanks in advance

If you try and launch straight from the beach you may have issues, but if you stick to the boat lanes and not the swimming areas you will be fine. There are clear signs on the beach walls showing you where the swimming areas and boat lanes are, all clearly marked with buoys, have fun!!

I sat on the beach and watched a family playing on their paddle board in just a few yards off the sand for half an hour and no one came along to tell them otherwise. I think its obviously marked with buoys for boats etc but if you are pottering around on a paddle board without annoying swimmers, or being a danger to young children, then no one will think anything of it. I imagine its a fine line between body boards and surf boards, if anyone was trying to enforce stuff.

We have our paddleboards and have never had any issues using them here. We go across to Chicken Bay from the beach outside Little Italy. We are respectful of others either swimming and boats and haven't had any issues. The only issue I have is trying to stay upright and not falling off. The feeling of a hundred eyes looking are enough to see me fall must to the amusement of the kids who just just stand straight up and paddle away without any practise.

Thanks all, used it yesterday with no problems, a bigger concern were the pedalos in the swimming area. Lifeguard seemed to be asleep so no enforcement!
