Back in April, the Guardian ran a travel feature on "good" restaurants in Palma. It also mentioned a "secret" restaurant at the airport which, it says, you find if "turn left before security" - apparently it mainly serves aircrew and airport staff but is open to anyone.

I thought I knew the airport reasonably well but can't think where they might mean. Any ideas?

When you go through security you can either take the left or right side. If you take the left side, you will see a cafe & a restaurant on the left as you are walking around to go through security.

Thanks for that. I'll keep my eyes better peeled next time.

Perhaps worth a suss for lunch - sounds better than what's on offer the other side of security.

airport restaurant

Couldn't hep laughing at the new self service restaurant as you go through security.

Considering the percentage of English travellers going through the airport, you might have thought they'd have researched the name a little better.....

look out for the letters two metres high......A-R-S!!!

a.r.s.

Hi Graham, we noticed that as well. Better than that though, get a satchet of sugar .....that is labeled Bonker Arse. I had tea without sugar !!!!!!!

...is the 'secret cafe' BEFORE security (and therefore ARS!)?...
