Can anyone recommend a supermarket or bakery in PP which sells gluten free bread suitable for toasting? When we were out we were unable to find this product - we tried both Eroski and Hiper. Admittedly both times it was late in the day so maybe they had just sold out..... they had lovely gluten free muffins so I'm sure the bread must be available too. My daughter becomes quite ill when she eats anything containing wheat so for us it's an essential - we could take it with us but I don't think bread would travel well in a suitcase! Thanks for your help!

I am Coeliac, spend several months a year in the area, and find both Eroski Supermarkets stock a good variety of Gluten-Free products i.e. bread, pasta, pizzas, cakes etc. Hiper Centro also have an an assortment of GF products. Eating out is generally much easier than in Britain. Don't worry, know how difficult it must be for your daughter. I'm sure you'll find the area will give you lots of lovely places to satisfy her appetite.

We always take frozen bread in our suitcases.Takes up a bit of room but solves the problem.

I eat gluten free bread whilst in PP and I find a decent selection in the Spar shop that has an ice cream counter at the front on Saralegui. The brand is Scharr and there are a number of items that ca be purchased although the slices are small. Tastes good too. Hope that helps.

Hi , if you are staying top end of the Pine walk , Formentor stores have GF bread[also fresh GF baguettes] and hiper centro have fairly good choice. I have been coeliac for 12 years now and variety has much improved in supermarkets and restaurants over the years. Enjoy,
Jat

@yorkie - I think you may be able to help

EDIT
Notice can't tag. Is there a way of tagging someone onto a post?

My daughter is gluten free and finds PP far better than anywhere here at home for GF products. We found bread in Hiper and highly recommend Al Fresco take away for the GF baguettes. If you ask they will sell you some!
