Sunset and sunrise over the bay

We stayed in a brilliant apartment right on the beach the first week in September, stunning views of the bay, here is a sunset and sunrise from the balcony

Thanks everyone, this was on the last day Mark, although the good thing about September is the sun rises later, just before 7am, so I was not as keen as Susie getting up really early!

Mark - just looked at your 'winter' photos and love them - from the empty airport to lovely moonlight one, sunset, and the empty shops - they just seem to capture the atmosphere of 'closed season' - must try it sometime

For those of us keen to photograph sunrise and sunset this free program shows the positions of sunrise and sunset anywhere in the world on any date.

Free for windows computers but I think the ipad version has to be paid for.

I always use it when we are looking at renting a villa to see where the sun will be on the pool and terraces etc

On Monday morning in Port Pollenca the 20th Feb 2012 the sun should rise at about 07:34 just to the right of the lighthouse on the 'point'
