There is nothing more quintessentially summer then swallows and swifts flying around the Mediterranean with their piercing calls, love sitting in the square listening to them in the evening!

Yes, swallows, harbingers of warm weather to come.
Spotted the first 2 here at home about 6 days ago, but they haven't been seen since, and it's coming down like stairrods now. Maybe we need a web cam!!
