The August get together at Pascalino's and Balaixa

Do we still have the details of these two get togethers as I can't find anything now?

Hello Mallorcaboy,

I seem to remember the get-together at Pascalino's was on Monday 22 August, but I'm not sure of the time.

As for Balaixa we agreed on Saturday 27th at 8pm.

As far as I know the following were coming:

You and your wife
Pollensa, hubby and maybe teenager??
Pollensa Man
Me plus hubby and 2 kids
Somebody called Steamit who hasn't posted since (!) with partner and 2 kids

And that was all!!

Hello Mallorcaboy and Jane!!

I think I read Pascalino's was to be 5pm but at the time I thought it was an early start.

We are May and September people but would love to be there however we may have overseas visitors in August so at the moment don't know. Descendants of when I was a cabin boy on the "Endeavour" ,Jane ,if you remember that fable.

Now I have concerns about the August gatherings.

When the G8 takes place in Scotland they all know each other and it will be "How are ya Tony- there's that big Jacques I can't stand the man etc etc"

So--Mallorca boy resident in PP and Jane are there first. Chief greeters - no aprons please like it is a DIY place.

Maybe we arrive ,if possible ,and we come in. I with my bottle of Port and my lady wife with her Sherry . As ID as it were..

"Good evening Portofan and Sherryfan" say I "actually John and Mary Smith from Anytown"

Mallorcaboy explodes "you are joking squire,there are four couples here already two guys said I'm Portofan and the other two guys said "I'm Mr Smith and this is Mrs Smith it's great to see you"".Do you think this is Friday night in Blackpool (please amend as to personal preferences).

Jane roars but thinks "What a night this is going to be"!!

So we get in and eventually all is disclosed--nearly said revealed-- and we introduce and socialise etc.

Now do participants need some sort of ID. I think Timberman said he was up for it but, with respect, what will his ID be? Has it to be appropriate to your nom de plume?

Then there is your party piece.

What do we have to do?

Mallorca boy once mentioned Espadrilles, Jane has her jokes and Snowy of course. I once enjoyed a very nice night with mucho aperitivos and Cava and wine with the food in Kashmir then the Brandy or whatever. Afterwards paid La Quenta and went for a wander round the Square. Down past Bony's I thought what is wrong what is is everybody looking at. Nice pink linen napkins in Kashmir but I was still wearing it.
Funny walk and handshake stuff Robjay!

So you see security ID and things like that are important!!

Naw!! Rubbish!! it will be a great night whoever manages to be there!!

Another hilarious post that prompted quizzical looks from the family as I sat here and laughed my socks off!!!:rollin

There's only one simple answer to your problem of ID - send Pollensa your photograph!!

Then we'll know whether we have imposters in our midst!!

Or failing that you could disclose a few distinguishing marks to me in the Chat Room and I could check on the night!!

Looking forward to seeing which option you choose!!

Would be great to see you and Sherryfan if you can make it.

Oh folks we only wish we could be joining you all :\ . It sounds like it's going to be a great night.
If you plan to arrange another one and we can be there (Scottish School holidays) count us in.
So can we wish every person going a very enjoyable night. Don't forget the rest of us want a blow by blow account of the night with Photographs!!!!:lol

I'm sure that you & anyone else who's out at a different time will be able to use the tapas bar to arrange some sort of grt-together as people will be out in PP at different times during the next few weeks/ Just post a note to the tapas bar & see who else will be about when you are,

The 2 Smiddys, (Yes, the secrets out, although Mallorcaboy knew all along) will be in PP 25/6 - 14/7, always keen to meet a few faces.

My wife also posts under Smiddy, i suppose the idea being should there be any flak flying around yours truly would cop it!
