Well we've done it. We're finally here in PP....for good!

The last few months have been mind blowingly stressful - selling our UK house (still not sold), clearing out said house, organising visas, organising a long term rental (our house here is still not built) and sorting travel for the animals - but we made it and we arrived here on Saturday!
Buying the one way plane ticket was very strange and Saturdays flight was an early one so we were pretty much on autopilot and rather dazed and confused all day.
Sunday had the same dazed and confused vibe and we all kept saying to each other "I can't believe we're not going home - this is our home now". It's a weird but amazing feeling.

Yesterday we collected Red our cat and Bonnie our dog from Son Xotano boarding kennels in Selva. Red is 18 years old, quite an age to go abroad for the first time. He seems to have coped with the journey here very well. Bonnie our little cockapoo I think has been slightly traumatised by the whole process but after a day of cuddles and TLC she seems to have settled down.

Last night she had her first stroll down pine walk which is something we've been dreaming about doing since the day we got her two years ago. The heat may take a bit of getting used to for her. She's black and absorbs the heat so we'll need to keep her out of the sun and cut her hair quite short for the foreseeable future I think.

We'll be in holiday mode for a while, taking in the enormity of everything. So if you're out and about and see a family of three looking shell-shocked but giddy with happiness, walking a beautiful black cockapoo, it will be us, so please come and say hi :)

We look forward to meeting a few of you out and about one day (especially you Sparky, as you're fab looking after the forum and we're just sorry we haven't had chance to meet you yet).

Glad to hear you've made it as such a confusing time...

I keep thinking about coming over for longer as my work is now fairly transportable but we have a black cocker spaniel who wont handle the heat so we'd be limited to winter trips for him. I'm stuck with 2x90 for now.

Meet you for a pint soon... esp as I noticed the bar on the roundabout sell Brewdog, LaChouffe and Laganitas!!

Welcome to your new home in the paradise that is PP. The very best of luck for your future and enjoy living your dream, following Sparky's motto of keeping your glass half full.

Excellent. I'm sure you will make some fantastic memories in PP. All the very best for the future.

Yes, congratulations on finally making it here.

You will be in holiday mode for a while, we arrived early December so Christmas\New Year\Kings the San Antoni meant it was late January before the reality hit us, oh but it was fun :D.

Don`t try to do it all at once, take each day as it comes, enjoy and welcome to the community :D.

Oh well done!

It's over 2 years since I passed PP.com on to you and I knew it would be in good hands but none of us were envisaging what happened next. Afraid we haven't been able to visit at all yet. Maybe next year. Will definitely look you up when we do! :):)

We'll let you know how our Bonnie gets on in the heat. Air con will be her best friend I think.

Yes the bar on the roundabout is looking very popular, would be nice to meet up.:D

Thanks Mike.
Will definitely be choosing the glass half full lifestyle

We're going to start making memories as soon as possible ❤

Thank you Zelda

It's been a tough couple of years that's for sure. Now we're here we'll have all the inspiration we need to get PP.com up and running properly again.

Will be lovely to meet up when you get over :)

Toni,

Congratulations on your move. Hope all goes well for you in PP.

Can i ask, how did you get your cockapoo out there?

We have a cavapoo that we would like to bring out for a couple of months, it may be that we have to drive all the way.

Thank you Chris 😊

We used a lovely pet transport lady to bring the dog and cat over by land. She collected them from our home and then drove over two days and dropped them at the boarding kennels for us.

I would definitely use her again and can pass on her details if you're interested in her services.
