Transfers

We are coming independently this year and need to book a transfer and I am not sure who to choose. I have read all the previous comments on Resort Hoppa which was originally my first choice but am not so sure now having read some of the reports of delays, particularly on the return as we almost missed our plane last time due to the transfer (not a company mentioned on the forum) being late.

I see Shuttle Direct are listed on the forum, any views on them please? The price all seems to be much the same but reliability is more important. Also we arrive nice and early so would be fed up having to hang around for an hour or more at the airport, itching to get to the port asap!

I assume all the shuttle services do not take you to private accommodation, just the nearest hotel or large complex?

Tangofan, We've used both Shuttle and Hoppa, more or less identical. Overall they've been excellent, once we waited at the airport for about an hour and once we got a tour of Northern Majorca on the return, but 90% of the time they have been fine, no complaints. They normally drop you off at the nearest hotel to your apartment or the hotel your staying in, and don't worry theres very little chance of you missing the flight on the way home, some of the return pick-up times can be a little too early!

It all depends how many people are traveling in the party, if it's a single person or couple, then the price is fantastic, but 4 or 5 then it may be advisable to think of a taxi.

If you know where your apartment is and your passing nearby then there's nothing to stop you asking the driver to stop and drop you of off, rather than continue to the hotel. Most of them will oblige.

Thanks for that Smiddy, I think I will take the plunge and book Resort Hoppa then! We are near the square so won't be too far if we are dropped off at say the Daina but worth asking the driver if we go past our apartment - good advice, thanks

we have used Resort Hoppa in the past and this time we used Resort Taxis for our transfer on Saturday..similar prices and they are ok too

We have used Resorthoppa and Airport Transfers both were great. We were dropped at our apartment door once.
