Buenas tardes.

Any recommendations for travel/medical insurance for travelling within Europe being Spanish resident?

I've searched online but contrasting written reviews! Brokers appear ok until a claim is made and then underwriters have poor reviews. AXA reviews report of poor English language support.
TSE (EHIC) in place for emergencies, but would like more medical cover (repatriation etc), just in case!

I'm also exploring travel cover included with my banks credit cards, another option!

Thanks.

Hi Big Sal

We are not resident but did have to call upon our travel/medical insurance with SAGA. Almost 10 years ago for serious issue whilst in PP paid everything in full. Still with them, still competitive and good record for paying. Always keep records/receipts and read policy in detail before submitting any claim. SAGA staff have english staff who speak good Spanish.

Staysure are decent for 'mature' people, especially with health issues.....but no idea if available for Spanish residents.

Thank you. Good reviews for Staysure and also recommended by personal friends (y)

I'm a British resident and have used Staysure for past few years with various health issues but this year they were way over anything reasonable. When I declined their quote they put me on to a 'sister company' Paying Too Much and the quote was almost 50% less. On checking small print on both policies I found they were BOTH underwritten by Aviva! Try them both.
