Trotters Bar

Does anyone remember Trotters Bar, not far from Sail and Surf. Anyone know what happened to Dave, the owner. I think he used to run The Bulls Head many years ago

Yes i remember it well, Roy took it over after Dave moved on to open Hell's Kitchen (now Liberty Kitchen owned by chef Ian Jones). It closed down for a while when Roy went back to the UK then re-opened as Bar Med but that has now closed.

I think i heard that Dave died a while back but not sure if it's true.

I remember Roy very well from first the Jolly sailor and the Rosa Blanca. I believe he used to work in Lloret with Dave and Chris Stanley along with a mate of mine, Frankie Hart. Sound bloke Roy.

Yes he did and Roy worked there for a while .

Do I correctly recall that Roy passed away about 4 years ago? Trotters used to do very decent inexpensive baguettes which we used to enjoy with a beer after a morning on the beach. Used to watch the F1 races there too. Happy days.

I do not think that Roy or Dave would like to hear that but on second thoughts they would both put it down to the usual rumours.
