URGENT - Security Information

Dear Members,

earlier this evening the server which hosts the forum was subject to a security breach which has now been fixed. However if you accessed the forum between 18:20 and around 20:00 (UK time), you may have been redirected to another website which will have attempted to download a malicious trojan program to your PC.

If you have up-to-date security/anti-virus software installed, this will have been identified and removed. If you don't then we would advise you to install anti-virus software immediately and scan your PC. If you are running Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7, then you can download Microsoft Security Essentials free at Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

Further to this issue. We have received a couple of reports from members who are having issues logging on - this may or may not be connected as some members have not logged in recently. It is more likely that something has changed on the member's PC that has caused the issue.

As far as we are aware the security issue was resolved Sun night. There is a possibility that anyone who accessed the forum during 6:20pm & 8pm on Sun 1st Jan may still have on old version of the forum stored on their PC which needes refreshing.

If you are having problems, please try the following:

If you use Internet Explorer, clear down internet history - Tools, Internet Options, Delete browsing history. In Chrome - Tools, Clear browsing data. All other browsers have something similar.

If you have another browser on your PC, try logging on with that one.

Turn your PC - on & off!

If you have access to another PC or laptop, try that.

Check your password - see http://www.forum.puertopollensa.com/using-pollensa-forum/5848-lost-password.html & type it carefully!
