Villa Cara, Siller

Any information on Villa Carla in Siller please. We're heading there in 2 weeks.
We know the area - so it's specific inf on the Villa that we're looking for from a recent holidaymaker. We read on another site that in 2007 there was a problem with 'barking dogs' in the neighbouring villa's yard - has anyone experienced this problem recently or know if it's resolved. Thank You.

Don't know this specific villa but we do have Mallorcan friends who live in Siller and have been to their apartment - they chose to live in Siller because it was peaceful and less full of cars/people than other districts of PP. It certainly seemed very quiet and does have an appealing 'local' feel rather than a 'holiday resort' feel - quite a few local non-touristy bars, restaurants and shops while still being within walking distance of the centre of PP. To be honest you can have a problem with barking dogs wherever you stay in Mallorca since dogs are kept outside as a rule rather than inside. You also get dogs (usually friendly!) who wander the streets at will rather than being confined as they are in the UK (though this seems to be becoming less common). Mostly it's just an occasional background irritant but some dogs obviously do like a good old bark more than others... Hopefully you won't have a problem. We have stayed in various locations around PP over many years and have never been annoyed by barking dogs.

Thanks Kate. I likely should have explained that 'the dogs' are allegedly 'a pack of working dogs' kept in the yard 24/7 - but perhaps & hopefully - the review I read was incorrect & out of date. We too have been to PP many times & never had a problem
