I thought that I should warn those of you who rent out your properties, either through this site or any other, that there are some scams about & one has just been reported to me.
These can come from a variety of names but are normally written in a rather formal, stilted English. If the alarm bells haven't already rung they should do when you are advised that the potential guest has sent you a cheque for more than the rental rate by mistake & asks you to refund the difference. Their cheque will eventually bounce...
