Weather alert as heavy rains forecast
THE Balearics were put on weather alert yesterday as the Civil Defence department warned of the risk of very heavy rains, marking an end to the mild November the islands have been enjoying so far.

Well!

e's back and nice to get a greeting from an old friend!

Ah now yesterday, Saturday at 8am the skyline from our Palma hotel was like a scene from "Independence Day". A bit grey looking on the far horizon but over the city a very dark solid cloud and eerily, exactly parallel with the horizon.

We didn't have to wait two minutes and flash bang , lots of the old donner and blitzen and boy did the clouds dump it down!!

However by 11am it was off and get right in the city
and get on with the fun!

In the Mallorca Daily Bulletin of yesterday a photo on the front page of flooding in Pollensa old town and stories of the fire brigade pumping out flooded premises and the forecast for early next week is daunting.

Other than that on Saturday first thing, we managed to struggle through! >D
