hello all!

I know there have been previous threads on this topic and i have browsed them all but havent found anything to help my plight im afraid! Im desperately looking for a hotel near Pollensa/Puerto Pollensa that will hold my wedding. All the ones ive found want a minimum of 4 nights stay and you have to buyout the whole hotel for this period! The only two possibles at the moment are Son Sant Jordi in Pollensa town (but a little small for my numbers) or Santa Eulalia but this in Santa Margarita, a bit too far from Pollensa. I've tried looking into the Golf Clubs near by but their websites dont give any info about wedding bookings, and the Pollensa Golf Club contact page doesnt work!! i would love to do it in Pollensa town but seem to be hitting dead ends everywhere. Maybe an agro-tourism hotel would be perfect but cant find any that dont require this minimum stay thing.. or if anyone knows any large villas that people hire out for weddings please let me know? i really really really want it to be in Pollensa which is what is making my search so much more difficult. PLEASE HELP!! thanks Laura x

thanks for your help, i have looked at Lleniere but from what i remember it was a little too expensive, and hotel Pollentia isnt really the type of thing im after. to give you an idea of what im looking for - Casal Santa Eulalia is pretty perfect (but location isnt) x

And the people who run Lllenaire are (in my opinion) miserable:mad:

IMO the people in the HOTEL LLENAIRE are lovely and very helpful for weddings - did you mean the RESTAURANT LLENAIRE which is unconnected?

Had the same trouble making a booking at Pollensa Golf but reached them by phone. Such a lovely setting for a wedding party - good luck!

No I meant the hotel, I know the restaurant is a completely different entity

Worth the effort, brilliant backdrop for weddings

I found Hotel LLenaire to be quite difficult and not very responsive to emails. They did not appear to be interested in a wedding unless it was out of season - either pre April or October onwards which didn't work for us. If the dates work for you, it is beautiful! We have gone for Alcanada and it is lovely. Really pretty. Let me know if you need any more information as we had to go out and look at venues as some not great at responding!

wedding ceremony!

i know theres been hundreds of threads on this but im struggling! ive booked Can Cuarassa as my reception venue but im not overly keen on having my ceremony there - and to make it more complicated, my fiance doesnt fancy a church wedding so we're a bit stuck where to have the ceremony HELP!!! x

You won't be disappointed with C'an Cuarassa, it does fabulous food and has great service. Can't help with the ceremony though

I found C'an Cuarassa to be quite unhelpful when enquiring about having reception there, I sent an email around 4 weeks ago, and another one 2 weeks ago but no reply(using the email address on their website)so decided to have it at Stay instead! Have you thought about having your ceremony in a hotel? Lots of them have gorgeous terraces/beachfront locations where they can hold a wedding blessing :)

Is this right?

We have recently booked St. Andrews Church in Puerto Pollensa for our Wedding Blessing next September, have just received the paperwork and details of fee, I was under the impression from research online and also information on the actual Anglican Church website that the fee would be between 150-300 euros depending on the church, but now I'm being told it's 300 euros for use of St Andrews PLUS 450 euros for the Anglican Chaplaincy, so 750 euros in total. This seems very expensive for a half hour Wedding Blessing, considering we are paying all the legal fees/paperwork in the UK beforehand, anyone who has had a blessing in Majorca, does this sound right?

Michelle,

In our church the charge for a wedding for anyone who is not a member and not helping to pay for the ongoing costs of running the building is £400/€450, the church in PP is not owned by the Anglican Church so this may explain the slightly higher cost. I think you have to compare this with the other costs involved flowers/photographer etc.

Thanks for the reply PP76, we haven't asked for flowers/photographer & nothing in the paperwork says this is included, so the 750 euros is simply for the use of the Church and the blessing. I thought the church in PP was part of the Anglican Church, as there's a section on their website Anglican Church Mallorca - Marriage in Pollenca so not sure why there is a further charge of 450 euros for the priest(I'm assuming this is what they mean when they say this fee is for the 'Anglican Chaplaincy'?)when the priest is based there anyway? I know I should just ask the woman who sent me the information but feel like I've pestered her enough already!

Sorry just to clarify the fee for the use of the Church is 300 euros and the fee for the 'Anglican Chaplaincy' is a further 450 euros. I don't understand what the additional charge is for :o
