Wifi2Go - 15% Off Wifi Rental

We are staying in an area of known variable reception and, currently, Javier is looking into the signal strength there before we order.

I picked up a wifi2go device at the airport on our arrival last week. It has been just great! I would certainly recommend it and will definitely book one next time we come out. It is much smaller than I had envisaged - smaller than an iPhone and easily fits in a pocket. We, and especially the kids who have had numerous friends coming and going and logging on during their stay, are really appreciating it :)

This is just what I need... can I just check the 15% discount code is still valid?

Andrew

I used the code Andrew, just over a week or so ago.

I tried to use the code and it would not work I even sent an e-mail saying that I kept getting an error message (in Spanish) the reply was to try again, when I tried to book without the discount code it went straight through so I assumed the code was invalid. Even though we did not get the discount would recommend the unit, it did need recharging quite frequently but worked very well.

Does anyone know if the code is still valid, I tried the puertopollensa15 but it said it wasn't, have they stopped the promotion?

Am afraid this is no longer available as we no longer have a partnership with the company. I understand that the business may have changed hands but am still waiting for confirmation. :(:(

I've been a customer for a few years now and it's a good little gadget with good service, easily collectable from from the airport.

However, of late it's been difficult to get hold of them. Last week I checked their website looking at renting a device for two weeks in August. I'm sure last August I paid about €60 or so? This time that want €235.50!!!! I nearly fell off the chair. They're having a laugh.

My Huawei mi-fi will be on order very soon for £75!

3g Huawei UNLOCKED (necessary to give best flexibility) MiFi @£34.99 on you know where - begins with A:). A friend has just bought one.

Threes' 'Feel at Home' works well. No need to use Spanish sim card - just use your 3 sim card as though you were at home.

I used the Wifi rental travel company listed on here at Easter, I wont be using them again, it was a disaster!! I have instead reserved the wifi 2 go unit from Multi Hire and will collect it when we arrive in the port :)

If you come out regularly it is definitely worth buying your device - read my post on this thread http://www.forum.puertopollensa.com...bile-phones/11673-using-mifi-data-sim-pp.html

We've been using ours as a backup for the current issues with movistar telefonica broadband (we now have a new router & manage to get it going again by picking up & replacing the telephone receiver - but that's another story!).

Our Hauwei Mifi works very well with our Orange Mundo Sim which you can either top up via orange.es or by purchasing a normal orange topup at any phone shop or, if you have a spanish bank account via online banking.

Wifi2go

I have been watching the comments about wifi2go for some time now and decided to rent one for our second stay at the apartment last week. The desk at the airport closes at 11 pm but I was informed that I could colect and return to Multihire, great! After exchanging emails to sort a couple of minor glitches I decided to go for the unlimited download version. The cost for ten days was about 120 euros I think. The wife found she could skype the rest of family anywhere and at anytime. We even had it on the boat working all over the bay, the one place it had a problem was at Cala Murta, not suprising though.
So instead of creeping up and down the front looking for good wifi in a quiet bar we just sat in the apartment before going out with a vodka and tonic and then left ipad behind to go out and eat. Wife said she saw more of me this time but I did miss the early doors!
