Semi pedestrianisation 2nd phase.

And the bus station and taxi rank.

Troels Muller has posted in facebook and I wonder if anyone from this forum was in attendance?

It seems that the go-ahead has been given to relocate the bus station to the area behind the health centre, the taxi rank to be now located in plaza juan cerda (no idea where this is!!) with the final phase of pedestrianisation between Ave Paris and Cafe 1919.

Hopefully the politicians are as good as their word and the pedestrianisation is complete for easter 2018. This can only be good news for all the businesses along the from whether it be Franscinas store or Los Faroles etc.

Lol, yep another added bonus. Once finished the pedestrianisation will make our neck of the woods a whole lot more desirable IMO.

I always preferred your neck of the woods from the very first time I set foot in the port almost 30 years ago:)
 
I thought fromwhat I read it was a temporary move for the taxis whilst the pedestrianisation was carried out but I wasn't at the meeting so this could be incorrect.

I think you are correct Lollipop, i understood it was only a temporary move. It wouldn't make sense to have the main rank that far away from the center of the Port during the summer.

I believe there's to be a second one on the main street.
 
There always was a rank near the GC but it wasn't used a lot, where do you mean when you say the "main street?.
