Overnight Heatwave?

Strange event last night.

At 3am, the temperature suddenly rose from 14C to 19.5C in a matter of a few minutes in Port de Pollenç and stayed there for about two hours. On a normal night, it would have cooled gradually and been about 10C.

Looking around, the same surge happened in the old town a few hours earlier. It didn't happen in Palma.

Does anyone know why or seen this before?
