If I remember correctly some time ago someone suggested that you get a decent exchange rate for notes at one of the wee shops along the front towards Brisa Marina.

Am i dreaming or does anyone have any experience?

ON the formentor road a little ways past the hotel used to be the Ora Playa Hotel on your right is a bike hire shop only small he is the best always good rates no commission no fuss and such a nice guy have used and recommended him for many many many years
