The weather is causing havoc again and on the Miramar webcam you can see a yacht has broken it's mooring and is about to run aground .

Did run aground.

Very sad to say along with many others , this is very serious, i just hope that nobody gets killed or injured.

I have heard at least 16 boats have washed up .

Number 2 seems to have been secured by some people out on the yacht and the pier earlier.

Number 3 just being pushed onshore on the Miramar cam.

I have witnessed a few storms now but i have never seen anything like this .

Reminds me of the storm years ago (must be around 15-20), we arrived the week after it happened and as we walked along the front there was a small yacht laying on its side in the front garden of the apartments next to the chemist near the old El Ancla. Bearing in mind how far that is from the sea you can only imagine the force needed to have done that.

The mayor and a government bigwig finally visited this morning, maybe they can sort something out .

They got the one by the sun terrace off yesterday so i am sure this one will soon be afloat again .

Group of 5 intrepid yachties can be seen, at the moment, on the Miramar webcam. They seem to be having an attempt to recover the grounded yacht on the left of the picture. Good luck to them.....I wonder how far it will have to be moved to get into deep water and float off?

They have been on it for a couple of days and got her upright yesterday then spent some time pumping out .
