I 100% agree with you. I think the government is frightened in case some people are upset😡 They need to act NOW and try to do something positive to slow down / halt this. We were sickened yesterday at seeing groups of children out playing in swing parks and groups of teenagers out and about The news about Skegness.......and lots of other places I'm sure......being full of visitors is very worrying indeed. When is it going to sink into a lot of narrow minded people that this is serious and they need to live by the rule book.

I wish it was the same here in the UK. There seems to have been an invasion of caravaners into Scotland this weekend. i drove to my local chemist to pick up my usual meds and glanced down onto the M74 and every fifth vehicle seemed to be a caravan!
 
I wish with all my heart that the deniers would take this situation seriously :mad:.

Believe me being on full lock down is not easy but it's better than the chaos i am seeing and hearing about in the UK :(.
 
So true Sparky - the crowds shown on tv yesterday going to the Dales, the seaside etc - reminded me of mindless lemmings. Things change so quickly and UK should be following the example of other European countries - we have seen what has happened and have the opportunity to take drastic action now - I am sure this will happen but maybe a bit too late. Nobody wants to be confined especially in this beautiful spring weather - but the alternative is so much worse. That is just my opinion for what its worth - and now I've just remembered that I said I would keep my mouth shut in future:rolleyes: Oh well.
 
The ajuntament of Pollensa have enlisted the help of gardeners, farmers and winegrowers to go around the streets on their tractors spraying disinfectant, one drove down my road just after the 8pm salute, well done ;).

➡️ We ask you that, while the state of alarm lasts, ALL CONTAINERS OPEN.

➡️ Our staff will leave them open, so we ask you not to close them, so we prevent them from touching at the time of depositing waste.

News this morning that Spain is outstripping Italy in the race to hitting the amount of cases and deaths earliest (apologies if this is the wrong phrase).

How many cases and deaths have there been in Majorca and Pollensa and PP in particular?

I have always thought that islands such as Majorca (and GB) have the greatest chance of limiting the virus by closing it down completely with no one in our out. Is this the case in Majorca?
 
I agree that was what we were saying and wondering why GB was still allowing flights in from all over the place. The advantage of being an island is that we could do a complete isolate - but maybe I am being a bit simplistic or whatever the word is:confused:

I check on this link every day :- https://www.mscbs.gob.es/profesiona...hina/documentos/Actualizacion_59_COVID-19.pdf, it is the official Spanish MOH but only gives figures for the Balearics as a whole, some newspapers publish figures for Mallorca but there are no stats on individual towns.

I read today that rates of infection and deaths do appear to be slowing down, hopefully a little light at the end of the tunnel.

Tonight for the first time we did the 8pm applause in daylight, it was nice to actually see our neighbours ;) :D.

Well - I feel for you all but I also think that if it keeps you all safe then it has to be. I suspect we will be in the same scenario in the UK

I am not complaining, it appears to be getting better so will obviously continue to follow the rules.

Not sure about the UK being in the same scenario, i personally think you will be worse off unless people are prevented from going out for walks and exercise.

I just meant we will have the lockdown extended same as Spain. I haven’t got a clue what will happen in the UK, mainly because the government seem to change their mind frequently on the best way to deal with this. I find that very scary :(
