As CSV and PP are in the same zone (E1), it counts as 0 (zero) hops.

The price when paying with a bank card (validate when boarding and alighting the bus) is 1.80 Euro (with discounts for additional passenger fares).

Paying cash, the single on board ticket is 3 Euro.

See TIB website for more details, rules and the zones map - https://www.tib.org/web/ctm/targeta-bancaria

We used to visit twice a year but Covid and then family commitments interfered. So, we are hoping to resume this year. I apologise if this matter was covered previously but I am hoping for reassurance from the seasoned visitors and residents. We used to regularly catch the service buses from PP to both the old town of Pollensa and the old town of Alcudia. We paid then with cash. So, my question is, do the buses accept travel card payments, e.g. Post Office pre-load Euros? If so I and my wife only carry the one card, would it have be switched through the device twice, both getting on and getting off the bus?
Thanks in advance.

I have friends visiting the port in April staying at Hotel Uyal. Is there a bus that runs along the front to the marina or is it completely pedestrianised now?

Vehicles are banned from the front from 2-30pm each day and no buses run on that route. However, it’s only a 10 minute walk from the Uyal to the Marina.

The buses run along the bypass. the nearest bus stop will be a 10 - 15 min walk. If you look on Google maps it will show the bus stops.

You can use the same card for up to 5 people, just tap in and out twice. Be aware that some cards, like the Halifax card, don't work on the card reader!

Thank you, GG.

Just to clarify - when using a card you need to tap in for however many people you are paying for e.g. 1 person 1 tap, 5 people 5 taps. The same applies to exiting the bus.

I may be stating the obvious here, but the “computer” doesn’t know how much to charge each passenger until they tap out when leaving the bus.

Tapping in just tells the bus that you are onboard. Tapping out tells the bus how much to charge each individual passenger.

The charge can sometimes take days to come through, so don’t worry if you have a SMS system with your bank and you are not notified immediately.
