Glad you are OK.
I too work in grammar school and we were discussing this week the benefit of daily lft. You have proved the case.

From my experience, it can take 6 days before a LF test shows up the virus, which is rather late if you are out and about. I passed a LF but went for a PCR and was positive. If you live in or around London, you will know loads of people with it already, but people with the booster seem to be hardly showing symptoms. A week after I caught it, I'm pretty much okay, just like the after effects of a cold.

Glad to get it out of the way tbh!

Has anyone used lateral flow - Testing for All for coming back into the U.K.? On the government website it states video/ photo evidence.

Have ordered them - £19. Reading thread from Disorderly it is easy to do with my i pad and re reading the govt website this is acceptable.

Yes, we used them for our October return Carol. They were by far the cheapest as they are not profit hunting (unlike most). Had no problems at all. :)

Hello. Does anyone if/when Spain will be reviewing it's covid policies, esp mask wearing outdoors? Thanks.

Jan 24th, I think. I don't find wearing a mask again to be an issue though.

Just to clarify. The mask wearing outdoors is decreed by the Spanish Government but the other restrictions are by order of the Balearic Government which will be reviewed on Jan 24th or sooner depending on case numbers.

All these things can change at any time, nothing is written in stone .

Wearing a mask outside is not an issue at this time of year - also for the first time we know of people that have got Covid here in the Port so not a bad thing to wear the masks and vaccine passports which they check properly with a scanner here unlike in the U.K.
Bright Blue skies this morning but windy - good for a long walk!

and for blowing the virus away.. :)

As of Saturday 12th February it will no longer be mandatory to show the Covid Passport to enter bars and restaurants.

Since the requirement to show a Covid certificate to enter a bar / restaurant was introduced here I have only been asked three times to produce it . Theres not much point in introducing rules if they are ignored and not enforced.

If you go to the same places all the time, once they've seen it and recorded it they don't need to see it again.

Isn’t it nice to see things slowly heading back to normal. Let’s hope it stays that way. We are coming out in a few days time and so pleased that rules are being relaxed. We wish all the local businesses the season they hope for and deserve in 2022.

No tests for vaccinated arrivals into UK

UK update as of today - "Fully vaccinated passengers no longer need to take a COVID-19 test when arriving in the UK." :D

"from 4am on 11 February all testing requirements removed for eligible fully vaccinated arrivals and only a simplified passenger locator form needed, ahead of half term

Arrivals who do not qualify as fully vaccinated will only need to take a pre-departure test and a PCR test on or before day 2 after they arrive in the UK"
