Centric Sold

The owners of Siurell have announced that they have purchased Centric.

I only heard last Friday that Jose had put the business up for sale after having eaten there for what now seems the final time last Wednesday .

The welcome provided by Jose and Conchi was always wonderful and I can’t recall a single time I left disappointed. I wish them all the best with wherever their future plans take each of them.

Good luck as well to the team from Siurell in their new venture.

Yeah that was a complete surprise. Siurell announced they were moving to Centric, which created more questions than answers. Now we know that the old Suirell builing has been bought as part of the Galeon Hotel and that Centric has gone.

So a double whammy of losing our favourite local restaurant 200m away and also Centric, which was a favourite in the Port!

Can I assume that Julia and her son will be running the new venture or other parties involved.
Is Swing an independent operation? If not it must be vulnerable because of it's position between Surriels and the Galleon. A mere " backhand lob" away!

Noooooo. If this is true, we are absolutely gutted. We see this as our fave restaurant in PP for a number of years. Top quality food and great service. Excellent menu and they knew how to cook and present all manor of dishes. PP has lost a top restaurant.

Just to clarify, it hasn’t closed but it has been sold to the owners of Siurell who are continuing to operate it as Centric.

Gosh....thats good then. Although I imagine that if they are reopening Siurell eventually, the two restaurants will offer similar fare. Bit of an assumption, but thats what they have massive experience of.
