Thanks for the information Paul. I fully intend having a shiatsu massage whilst on holiday in PP, only three weeks to go. I looked for the shiatsu guy last year but he did not appear to be on the Pine Walk in his usual setting.

I once saw this chap (if it is the same one still) give a lady a massage down by the Coach House (Little Italy).

When he had finished she got up looking decidedly wobbly and pale, staggered over to her friends sitting at a table and collapsed in a chair. Juan came rushing out with some water for her!

Presumably he tweeked a bit he shouldn't have

Yep - lady in our hotel one year took a migraine afterwards. I suppose it just depends how sensitive you are maybe...? But - er I plan to avoid just in case.

Last couple of years a Thai lady was wandering around the beach offering a massage - looked painful!

As long as they are professional and check for all contraindications before they start their massage, like asking about high or low blood pressure problems and other possible medical conditions, then there is the possibility that they are all qualified practitioners and perfectly safe - if not, then it can be just a little bit risky! If you have had massages by a qualified therapist recently and everything is ok, then you should be ok, if not, be very careful.

For what its worth I had a serious neck pain and he mumbled yes he could sort but he was useless as I know what he should have been doing and he was way off the mark.But ! if he hits the right spot then possible he is worth the 10 Euro. Having just come back from pollenca after a sunny week he was dealing with about 8 people a day . a good little business with no outlay.
Does he need a licence like the other stalls?
