If you dont like the tacky signs look the other way or dont walk past. whose the fool here? which bar is busy every night? Like someone has already said you either love the place or you dont simple. I like the place and will have a drink or 2 during my hols.:)

I've heard of the song "I kissed a girl" but would reckon "I kissed a man" could result in a "Glasgow Kiss". i don't mind the place either way, but my advice to him would be to keep the laughs on himself, not at the expense of others.

" Glasgow Kiss " ????, eh Hardman !!! You obviously ain't had a " Stepney
Snog" cos you're still talking !!! :D

Amazed to hear he's back cos when I left in June it looked unlikely, is Coco still there ???

I shall tell him again about the signs when back in Sept , thought Bonys was moving back to it's old more staid times .

So you're in PP in September are you?! It'd be rude not to meet up for a drink and din dins...preferably somewhere I wont get my skirt blown up and you won't get a snog from the barman :rolleyes:
 
Blue touch paper well alight now cant wait for a drink at my Fav bar sitting with people who enjoy a bit of banter etc. As always Bonys get us talking and Debz i cant wait to have someone blowing up my skirt!!!! you never know Debz you may like it.;)

Ok! BL, High Noon at Bony's in Sept. Glasgow Kiss Vs Stepney snog, should keep the punters amused:). Like you i'm surprised he's back so soon, some of the behaviour described seems a little eccentric, even for him.

Whether you care for Bonys or not (and I certainly dont) it cant be argued that Joses behaviour is becoming more and more erratic by the day. Rumour has it that he did the close your eyes stunt and tried to pull down an elderly mans trousers. For those that care for Bony and for the future of PP please, please tell Jose to tone down his behaviour and stunts and signs. The square is becoming like Blackpool with sun more and more and for those who own property the Bonys of this world is not in keeping with the reputation that PP thoroughly deserves and will only lead to it losing its wee bit of exclusitivity.
 
Really agree with you here, Rab. PP has always had a reputation of being a little classier than some over areas on the Island. We need to ensure that standards are kept. If people want to be part of the party scene then they should go elsewhere. You are right that property prices have held their own based somewhat on the up-market image of PP. If this was to change then so will the property market. It doesn't take very much for a reputation to gather speed - the negative is stronger than the positive. We always remember when someone says 'don't go there because........'

I agree with yourself and Rab completely, the Square in PP is not as it was and somewhere we avoid prefering Pollensa. We have had an occasional drink at Bonys when our daughter was smaller as she used to find him amusing but now its just too much, too many tables too much football etc, it would be nice if it could return to what it used to be like. Jose is such a character and lends atmosphere to the square and to PP . We are also property owners and we bought here for all the reasons that have been said in the last couple of posts, I hope it retains the upmarket tag it deserves as there is no better holiday destination.
 
Tex Mex had its go now its Bonys turn wonder who will be next to downgrade the square, maybe the church bells keeping people awake.

It's no secret that i don't use Bony's but that is purely because i can get my drinks cheaper elsewhere, however Rab as you say this "Trouser" stunt and blowing up skirts is rumour and i would like to hear from someone who actually saw it. If it's true then i think Jose has gone too far, if it's not true then it smacks of a witch hunt and i say shame on whoever is doing it. Talk about kicking a man when he is down.:rolleyes:
