Bon dia amigos, today the rain has arrived with a vengeance, it is breezy and 16c. Hopefully the forecast will be right and it will nice again after midweek.

The weather is really bad today, the rain has not let up at all, we have had thunder and lightning and the power has been knocked 4 times so far.

Terrible wind & rain . Bonyladette's TV satellite choice is down to "True Movies " or " Sky News " only , what a shame !!!!!

Rushed across the square tonight ( desperate for smokos from the Tabacs ) and I think, Sparky, crossed with your Colin in his Sou Wester ?? Couldn't look up cos rain is horizontal and wind awful . Got his shopping trolley in tow ?? You weren't sending him out for supplies in this , we're you ???

I don't know , you write all this toffee about treating "hubby " to Lobster on his birthday and the poor guy has to go out in this .

OMG!!! we nipped down to El P for an hour as even the Spanish TV has been wiped out and Toni told us that Naciente and Batucada have been flooded out also the area around Habitat apartments.
The rain had eased off but it is pelting down again now and the wind is howling.
BL i hope yer Toldos are well anchored, we are in for a rough night.

Bon dia amigos, well the storm raged through the night with torrential rain and winds in excess of 75 kph.
It has calmed down a bit this morning but the forecast is for more of the same, at the moment we have light rain, wind and it is 11c.

Fortunately it's not back up yet, thanks to good old " manana" Juan !!!!

But , as the Jersey boys sing , oh what a night !!!!!

BLT had me up at 2.30 a.m. cos one of the chairs on the roof had the temerity to move an inch in the wind .

No peace for the wicked, eh !!!!

Seen in today’s Yorkshire Post (Wed. 5th May) - “STORMY WEATHER”

Low Pressure in the Western Mediterranean brought unsettled conditions to Southern Europe on Monday and Tuesday.
145mm (almost 6”) of rain was recorded at “Lluc” in Mallorca in the 12 hours up to Tuesday 4th May. Average rainfall for the whole of May is normally 38mm (1.5” approx.).

Wow, it must have been some storm around the Pollensa area Sparky.

Fire Engines pumping water out in the Square yesterday morning. Tree debris everywhere ...... my basement garage still has two inches of water in it and not able to use the lift til it subsides and dries out .

Looks like better weather ahead now, ,might even be the last rain we see til Sept !!!!

Having carried Bonyladette up three storeys for three days , I'm a shadow of me former self !!!! Might even fit into me Sydney Leonard wedding suit of forty years ago ( sorry , private joke , guys !!! ).

However lift like a deathtrap, press a button and it's like the electric chair in Alabama in that could end up as crispy bacon being served for breaky at the Daina tomorrow morning !!!!

Yes but by the time we have earned enough posts to enter the inner sanctum, it will be old news!

I understand that there has been so much rain that many places are to be pumped out. I just wondered if it is beginning to dry out now or is there still a lot of water around?

Just hope the rain hasn't decided to leak through my roof as it did last year.
