Hi

Can anyone recommend a taxi company to from the airport,
Phone no or website and cost would be excellent

Thanks

Hi,

Take a look at Transport Page on the main website.

I went to the Taxi rank this morning in Puerto Pollensa as the Taxi prices will be a bit higher this year, but the new list will not be published until next week and the prices on the website will be updated as soon as we have it,
Regards

We always recommend Taxi Bisbal.
Alfonsa the lady owner speaks good English and never lets you down.
I've lost track a bit of the cost to the airport and back, but I think it's about £60 return
Mobile number 0034639305455

Hi,

We always use Conde taxis. It will be Jose you will contact on either
Tel. +34 619 73 75 50
Fax +34 971 54 64 77

Further details like email etc can be found under the transport bit of the forum.

Last year cost 56Euros, will probably be a slight increase this year.

Very reliable, speaks English.

Hope this helps.

Bisbal Taxi

Can anyone tell me if Alfonsa is still running Bisbal taxi?

I can vouch for resorthoppa... fantastic.. £115 for 9 people to and from airport..

I second the resorthoppa recommendation and SO MUCH cheaper than a cab.

However, depending upon time of year it is sometimes still cheaper to use car hire

Coming over for 4 days later this month and car hire is only 40euros AND they will do me a full full deal ...... so despite being a fan of Resort Hoppa, the convenience of a car for that price has tempted me away

I have just been told of an organisation called resorthoppa. I have not used them yet but I hear they are really cheap.

We use resorthoppa all the time as we leave the car at the finca its around 16 Euro each return great service we use them all year round

Resorthoppa do not operate a shared shuttle service in the winter from Palma to PP, or they have not done so in the past. They do, however, offer a private transfer but this works out more than a taxi. I'm not sure what date they stop the shared transfer service though. Lets hope that they might continue to run this service for the winter 2010/2011

I believe ResortHoppa are good and if you register on some of the money saving websites (not sure if allowed to post links) then you can get money off - think it is 10%.

We are a part of 6 and have used the taxis operated by Los Zarzales for the last few years. They are efficient, pleasant and I think the cost was around 90 euros each way.

On recommendations from this site,i have booked Conde Taxis for a transfer in a couple of weeks 73 Euros each way.

Just email your number and date/flight details, they responded quickly to my request.

Have to agree with CD. It's probably just as cheap to hire a car instead of taxi. Then at least you have transport while you are there. We are out next month and have hired a car for a week for almost the same price as a one way taxi hire:)

The taxi fare does seem to have increased considerably over the past couple of years. It would be nice if Resort Hoppa did continue its service throughout the winter but I suppose the numbers are not there to make it viable. I'm not sure when the service starts and ends in the year?

In defence of the taxi drivers, star81's post was made in 2005 and she said she paid 56€ the year before so that would have been in 2004. When you consider how much the price of petrol has risen in 6 years a 17€ increase is not really that bad.

When we were over October half term last year, parents tried for resort hopper but didn't run the dates. They used the one on Easyjets site about same prices I think, sorry can't remember the name tho

Those days and prices have way gone haven't they Sparky! Petrol certainly on the Island, seemed much cheaper then. There doesn't seem to be a great difference now between the Countries. We didn't have the new motorway then either so the taxi drivers really did work for their money.

You are right - a 17 Euro increase over those years with petrol prices increasing so much, doesn't sound too bad at all.

We always used to hire a car for the full two week holiday - picking up and dropping off at the airport until a new company 'lost' our booking and didn't have a car for us.

This was a revelation for us - no having to queue for your hire car before then either trying to find it in the car park or being taken to an outside airport location to pick it up and then doing the same on the way home. Just collect the cases and get in the taxi - straight to the resort.

We now actually only hire a car for about five/six days in the middle of the holiday and use public transport for market visits either side of that.

We now find this much easier and cheaper - especially as car hire has shot up in price. We used Vanrells for car hire this year and I mentioned in a previous post that we used the taxi company associated with Los Zarzales restaurant.
