Hi all,

My first post. Just returned from a wonderful 11 nights in PP.(1st time), monitored this great website in the month prior to leaving, for some tips etc.

Having sampled many whilst there, wanted to add our top 3 restaurants in PP.

1. La Fortalesa (By far the best, and the freely poured Suau was fantastic!)
2. El Posito
3. Little Italy

Well visited all the restaurants we were going to, some a few times & the way I see it is

1. Tango
2. C'an Josep
3. El Posito

To be honest they are all superb for different reasons & not a great deal between them.

Also went to Stay, which was great but food not as good as top 3 & even had Gary Lineker with family sat behind us. As for O'Lume, will have to comment when I have more time, but lets just say we were very, very disapointed all round.

My favourites in no particular order;
Nicos
Guru
Hell's Kitchen

My wife has three different restaurants as her favourites so we go to those the second week each time we come to PP.(lol)

If you have read my post on"Silvery Moon" then you know that O Lume would not feature as a favourite of mine.

1. La Fortalesa
2. Los Zarzales
3. Nu Raixa

Being a Virgo, I can't make up my mind.
These are not in any order but they are favourite places to eat.
Naciente
Los Zarzarles
Tango
Brisa Marina
Ca'n Ferra
O Lume
Ikebsna
And many more.

Returning this Friday and will be visiting once again:

Na Ruixa
The Yacht Club (and yes, it is open to the public)
El Cano

Can't wait :)

heres ours, just great food

Tribeca
The Stay
The Ivy Garden

A vote for Tribeca, which has not had too much love on here just lately but you obviously had a good experience. It really shows how subjective and personal a dining experience can be. Every restaurant can have good nights and bad nights and sometimes one member of staff can alter the whole product.

the two sisters that run the place were always very helpful and charming and the food was just lovely plus we always found it quite peaceful in their

Following our recent week here is my updated fave 3

1) Los Pescadores
2) El Posito
3) Los Zarzales

There are lots of excellent restaurants in PP so it's very hard to whittle the list down to three!

From our last visit, ratings as follows:-
1) Celler la Parra
2) Little Italy
3) Los Faroles

(but will probably change my mind next time! :D)

Complete reshuffle for me after last 2 visits

Corb Marie
Cellar La Parrer
Stay/ el Posito

OOHH! This is a turn up. All these years I have pronounced Stay as in the English stay here etc. and been told it is prounounced as STY as in pig sty. I have just read this on their website;

The name Stay was chosen by the partner Juan Cerdá, a short word, easy to pronounce and also very English with its links to hospitality and a word known in the marine environment as one of the wires holding the mast of a sailing boat.

Now somehow I dont think the word STY links to hospitality - .....!:D
Ding dong!

Someone (no names mentioned) has been pulling your leg!! It is Stay for the reasons given on the website but we always refer to it as Restaurante Sty as that is how the Spanish accent pronounces the word.

Oink Oink ;)

Lol! A bit like "bouquet" and "bucket" eh!!? Well certain "someones" can eat humble pie now, or whatever the Mallorcan equivalent is! :D

Of course there is also a very tenuous link with the name "Cerda", as "Cerdo" is Spanish for pork ;);).

Absolutely nothing - you're right - I apologise for hijacking it to prove a point. We shall now all stop!:o

WEll if a restaurant is in the top list then perhaps it is important for us to recognise how to pronounce the name. So I personally don't think apologies are needed Bella. Nice to learn something too!
