The weather now in PP - 2011

I'm arriving on Wednesday for my first visit to PP. Who do I speak to re booking the weather for my week?

Good morning, i am afraid it's not too good again today. Very overcast with a gusty variable wind. Most of the forecasts say it will be sunny from tomorrow but with showers over the weekend, however Google are forecasting thunderstorms for tomorrow .
The pressure is 1008.
The temperature is 19.9c.
The UV index is 2.

Yesterdays low was 16.9c and the high was 19.6c.

Early May can be very changeable but it should be more settled when you are here, i hope .

Can you do a sun dance please!!!!!! arriving fri for a week ...I always get anxious before I go and depress myself looking at all the conflicting reports...what does showers mean? is that the predominent weather or just means there is a chance?

I will do my best honest , they mean there is a chance of showers and these are often very light and very brief.

As Sparky says the showers are usually short lived, mainly light but sometimes heavy for short periods as I found to my cost popping out for breakfast. It can be sunny one moment, quick shower and back to sunny again. If you take a showerproff jacket or an umbrella you should be fine. The restaurants are set up with canopy's and waterproof umbrellas as well as heaters so you can sit out as we did pretty much any weather anyway.

Sparky, which forecast in your experience is the most accurate?.....yours excluded of course..

To be honest Ironmanuk they all have their moments but meteosat.com are pretty good. The problem is that none of them actually forecast for PP, the nearest is Pollensa and although it is not far away, the weather can be very different there.

There is one I found for Puerto Pollensa but like the rest of them, I don't know how accurate it is!! I thinks the temperature is usually higher than what they predict. When it comes to the weather I have decided in "you've got to take whatever comes"!! They all seem to change by the day!

Favie, i think that must be another Puerto de Pollensa as it is in Asturias which is in Northern Spain.

Oops, sorry but that is good because the weather doesn't look too great for early May!!

Didn't notice the header.....thought there was only one Puerto Pollensa, well there is to me!! Lets hope the weather is better in that one!

PS After a lot of googling....I can't find another PP in that area, I guess the info comes from there, a bit like England giving the forecast for Scotland!! Unless I have not googled enough!
