I found this info on the other winds that blow in Mallorca, the names of which are on the "sundial" design in the middle of the square:-
The prevailing winds blow from the north, and in the winter there is wind from the west and, at the height of summer, from the east. The local breeze from the sea is known as the embat and blows between April and October. It is very regular, arriving at the coastal areas between 09.00/10.00 hrs. (Sun time), reaches the interior between 12.00/14.00 hrs. (Sun time) and dies away around 18.00/19.00 hrs (sun time).
When there is no embat, the Serra de Tramuntana redistributes the winds, the prevailing winds being parallel to the Serra - the gregal (NE) and the llebeig (SW). The xaloc brings the warm dry air from the Sahara. The north of the island, however, from Formentor to Cala Rajada- sometimes even round to Dragonera on the one side and to Cabrera on the other- is exposed to the tramontana mistral so that at certain points along the coast there may be winds of 180 km an hour.
The strong winds that affect most of the Island are the llebeig (NW) and the levant-gregal (E-NE). The former tends to be the strongest of all, as there are no obstacles in its path from that direction, and it can cross the whole of Mallorca very easily. These winds can raise waves of 3/4 metres in the Bay of Palma.
