Our very first visit to Pollensa was the year Pollensa Park opened. We stayed in the hotel and had a wonderful holiday. I cried all the way home because I wanted to stay. ( I was very young)
Ohh the memories of the first sights & sounds & smells of Pollensa are imprinted in my memory.
It has changed so much over the years but there is still that very special something to it for us that brings us back as often as we can.
We've been to lots of other places over the years but there is nowhere quite like Pollensa
Always talk of the Polly Park going all-inclusive, and it has. Jason, the Bulletin's editor, said something about an AI in Puerto Pollensa today, and it is the Pollensa Park. Oh well ...
Well, having never stayed there myself I will reserve judgement until I receive reports back. Heard some good reports last year but it was & will be B & B only. It may not be a popular option to go AI as it has been tried before & I hope it doesn't catch on for the sake of the local economy.
I don't think having the option at one or two places is a bad thing, as long as all the hotels only offer AI then it will be a problem.
I remember many years ago staying "out of season" at an AI in Palma Nova and seeing the gluttonous waste everywhere, half eaten plates of food, unfinished drinks etc put me off completely.
On the other hand, in these recessive times, it can be good for families who need to know what their outgoings are from the start.
