Although we visit PP every year we have never been in Winter. However we are trying to book from28/12 till 4/1/13 as we haven't been this year and are getting withdrawl symptoms. Please can you give any info what to expect, are most restaurants/ bars etc closed, whats the weather like generally etc. As we will be there over New Year any celebrations. We are trying to decide between hotel/apartment so if a lot of places are closed we will opt for hotels. Thanks a lot Francesca

http://www.forum.puertopollensa.com...ensa-restaurants-open-winter-2012-2013-a.html, most of the Spanish/Mallorcan run bars remain open but many close on Mondays. Nostalgia always have a very good NYE party, usually offering a free finger buffet, grapes and cava at midnight .

As for accomodation, i believe that the only hotel/hostals to remain open are the Eolo and the Pension Bellavista.You could always look at private rentals for apartments here :- http://www.puertopollensa.com/rentals/ as i am sure you will see some good deals.

The weather is normally quite good .

Leaving it late for this Christmas

As Whaleywanderer says Monarch are available the Friday you are looking to travel although the price is now very high, when I checked for two people with cases it would be £829

Easyjet are slightly less from Liverpool if you can drive there.

We are planning for a holiday next Christmas as we left it too late this year, so looking out for Easyjet to release flights for December 2013 as my wife agrees at last to go to Pollensa for Christmas, WoHoo

I'm pretty sure that Ryanair are also flying from Birmingham to Palma during the winter.

We have to go via Barcelona as there are no direct flights from Newcastle.However the total cost for the four flights is quite reasonable.

did that once too stevo and wasnt as bad a journey as we had thought it might have been, had 3 hours to kill between flights but other than that fine, lot of people seem to hate travelling, waiting on flights the journey airports etc we just try and make it part of the holiday, it is after all

Just back from another great week in pp, weather was excellent apart from one day, high teens if not low 20's a couple of days

Port was very much quieter again this Xmas with even less places open than last year

Were out and about last night at about 10 pm and the whole place was deserted
