Peter kerr's medieval novel "song of the eight winds"

Just come across this novel on Amazon whilst searching for a holiday read. I've ordered it as I've enjoyed his other books but wondering if any members have read it and what they thought of it?

It appears to be set in mainland Spain and West Mallorca in the 13 century.
I've also ordered the first of Ken Follets trilogy " Fall of Giants". Nothing to do with Mallorca but I adore historical fiction. I hope Kerr's book isn't disappointing!
 
Excellent I have read several of his books and am looking forward to getting this one :)

Have read all his books except this one. Great discriptive writer. He always makes you feel you are there with him.
