As you know I don't take the long range forecasts too seriously Ragdollabbi, I have looked at a couple and it looks to be generally quite good for the month but there will be some thunderstorms and rainy days. I think the only thing we can be absolutely sure of is that the high temps have gone and a light jacket/cardi will be needed in the evenings ;).
 
The forecast pinned on the notice board in the Illa d'Or yesterday seemed to be completely incorrect for every two hour period throughout the day:confused:

I feel by far the best guide is Sparkys morning bulletin followed by a look at the panoramic webcam.

Just back from Pollensa market and the chemists digital temperature display up there showing a comfortable 23C - except, that is, among the badly informed new tourists trying to park their rental cars. As we left, all the car parks overflowing and temperatures amongest the late incommers rising well above the indicated 23C:eek:

Feelin pretty smug. Arrived 0945, departed 1130 having done full tour plus coffee and pastry at el Gardinio (?):)

Thanks Sparky, I think I have looked at every weather forecast there is, but I think I'll stick to 'let's just wait and see'. Some of the forecasts and showing sunny one day and the next time you look are showing rain!!!! Don't really want the 'high' temperatures anyway, so long as it's pleasantly warm enough so that I can sit outside Illa d'Or or wherever we happen to be then that will do me nicely:)

You have to bear in mind that's it's autumn in the Med, not much further south. It should be very pleasant overall with temperatures much above the UK but evenings will be cooler and there will be periodic rain, sometimes it can be heavy in October. As stated, light clothing with a few additional layers in case needed.
 
the heavens opened in Pollensa about 1330-1400 for arround 15 minutes ,fortunately we had decided to eat inside .LOL
 
It just proves how difficult it is to predict the weather here on an island...not a drop of rain in the centre of the Port :confused:.

Thanks Sparky, but when I suggested the "forecast" line I didn't want "rain"!! :eek:

The pressure is 1010.
The humidity is 71%.
The UV index is 4.
The temperature is 18.7c.
The forecast for tomorrow is for sunshine and showers (is that better El G ?;)).
Yesterdays low was 17.7c and the high was 26.7c

Hi Jiggs, at the moment the long range forecast is looking good for the rest of the month, average daytime temperatures around the mid 20's :D.

I hope you are SOooooooooo right sparky, we are out on the 26th! Fingers crossed :-)
 
Just a quick one sparky, were do you get your longer range forecast from? I tend to use the bbc weather for alcudia (up to 10days) and seems to be fairly accurate whilst looking at the live webcams for confirmation.
