Change in Location of Anglican Services

Seems to me everybody is a loser. The poor vicar especially who now has no job here or in the UK.

Apparently the new vicar has resigned but will the Catholics reverse their decision .........time will tell .

What a sorry state of affairs. If the reasons alleged by the Majorca Daily Bulletin are behind all of this I feel very sorry for the Anglican vicar & if this news is correct Sparky you have to wonder if keeping services in the Catholic church is worth it?

Had an email last night confirming that there will no longer be any weddings/blessings allowed in St Andrews that have been arranged through the Anglican Church. Reverend Waller was very apologetic but I know it's not his decision. They will arrange a refund of the fees we paid, and I'm assuming will be in contact with anyone else who has a blessing in the calendar for St Andrews

Oh no!! i am so sorry to hear that, i hope you and anyone else who were hoping to have ceremonies in P find another venue .

What a mess!! I am sorry for all those who have built up this church and also all those expecting to have their weddings blessed there.

Thanks, at least ours wasn't until next year so we have time to change our plans, I can't imagine the stress anyone with a ceremony in the next couple of months is going through just now!

I have been to the little church at Crestatx for a wedding blessing ,which was conducted by the Anglican Vicar. It is a lovely church and might be worth enquiring.

Heard the news on friday, we are told all fees will be refunded, our wedding isn't until June but it's now back to the drawing board, pretty disappointing we had our hearts set on the church.

Anglican Chaplain wants their new home to be a focal point for the Pollensa community

Pollensa.—The Anglican Chaplain Reverend, David Waller, said yesterday that he hoped that the new premises of the Anglican Church in Puerto Pollensa would become a focal point for the English-speaking community in the area.

New premises have been found close to the main port road which will mean that the Anglican Church in Pollensa now has a permanent home in the area which can be used by all.

“I would like to open our new home to the community and I sincerely hope that that the various associations in the Pollensa area will also use our facilities,” Revd. David Waller said. The new premises can cater for up to 90 people and has a large hall.

Yes both of those windows, and also apparently a patio at the back. They will have their own kitchen facilities too.

If that's correct then it looks like they're taking either part (just the back end) or all of the old location of the La Nautica fishing & nautical equipment shop which has moved a block down/up towards the seafront.
