As I was helped with travel info. I thought I'd report my 4 day trip to PP.

Easyjet flight from Stansted to Palma. Usually use Ryanair from Stansted as times suit us better but no complaints atall with easyjet - bang on time both ways, plane packed.

Landed at Palma at 1310 hours. Cleared airport with hand luggage only by 1335 and on the number 1 bus straight away (waiting). Waited about ten or so minutes for it to leave and it took 20 minutes to Palma central bus station. I intended to catch the 1530 bus to PP as given but just thought I'd check at the information desk and found there was a 1430 one.......bargain......extra hour in PP!! Only one thing to bear in mind is that the bus left from stand 7, not 5. When I've used this service before it has been from stand 5. just worth bearing in mind.

Bus left at 1440. Only stop was Inca then Pollensa and onto PP. Just over an hour so not bad. Total cost 8.05 euros for both fares.

Ate first night, Friday 4th, at the new Italian Casa Villa on the square. Very impressed. Great bread and olives and lovely pizza. Friendly staff.

Saturday night ate at Hells' Kitchen from the 15.50 euro menu and again very impressed. Typical good "pub grub" in a nice sense but sometimes just what you want. Well recommended.

Sunday I was lazy after watching the footy and sinking a few beers at Bar Med so went to Burger King ; - ( has to be done sometimes!!

For "elevenses" went to the Marina cafe each day. 3.50 euro for a white coffee (biscuit) and a ham, cheese and tomato croissant......tell me where you can better that for value with a great view?? (And it's very tasty as well).

Weather was unbelievably good after horror of the previous few days, lady luck must have been shining down on me!! Easily upper teens and constant sun, sunbathing weather and just so nice to feel the sun on you.

Did a lot of wandering round the port as I normally do then taxi back Monday morning. 75 euro cost.

Back to the bump and grind of work and cold/grey/damp weather........roll on next trip.

Really enjoyed this short trip report - especially the Casa Villa comments - I am guessing that this is the replacement for the great La Piazza - so it's good that the first comments are good ones:) La Piazza was always one of our favourites - we were never disappointed - so looking forward to our first visit to CV in May:D

Thank you Rosie and yes it is the replacement, and on first inspection a very worthwhile one.

It's understatedly smart, good menu (unusual format which was a bit different as anyone will see when they visit), reasonably priced and was very busy with locals, which must be a good thing? In my opinion just what the port needs. Good luck to them.
