A Punt

We liked this place a lot and went twice, and in fact had meant to go again, but you know how it is, so many restaurants, only so many meal times.
They seem to specialise in meat and do a lot of grilled stuff. My son was introduced to Chateaubriand there (you don't see it on UK menus now do you?) Very classy and artistic sort of place, we ate outside first time, and in fact came face to face with a mozzy, about the only time in three weeks we did! It was worth it though, under the bourgainvillia, hubby first time and son second time had the ham carved off the bone, we found we were taking photos of the food it was arranged so beautifully. Hubby second time had the fried goats cheese to start, we have a photo of it, looks like a Joan Miro painting.
I had an amazing starter first time of scallops, wild mushrooms and truffles, truth to be told it was a bit rich, I think they do fairly classical high class type of food, so well presented though.
And girls (and boys probably), the light comes on as you walk into the loo, now, how do they do that? A contrast to Los Pescadores I think where the light stays on for five seconds and there is no hook to hang things so there you are with your teeshirt in your teeth, sarong around your neck... sorry boys, too much information. Life was simpler when I wore a bikini!

Glad you enjoyed A Punt. We were planning to eat there in May but were waylaid at El Posito at lunchtime by a monster portion of lamb and tapas so never made it.

Would like to go in August but maybe the wee ones won't appreciate it?

Good to know that you can eat outside though so may risk it for a special treat.

PS - We have lights in our loos at work that only come on when someone approaches. They work on sensors and save us quite a bit in electricity charges!!

I suppose it depends how wee they are and how adventurous with food, James is 16 but a carnivorous rugby player so will get stuck into most things, and has eaten seafood all his life. I think they do simpler things too, but based on grilling - you'll just have to go and check out the menu, you'll be straight in! Second time there we were very hot, it was a hot and humid day and I can't remember what we had been doing, but it was actually a relief to be indoors where it was very cool and pleasant. Definitely one of our favourites.
