Adios Ca'n Andreu ??

Understand that Ca'n Andreu is shutting it's doors for the last time next week. Shame because it's probably one of the few genuine Mallorquian restaurants in the square.

Also understand that it's not solely due to the tourist euro but predominantly that the lunchtime trade ( which it relied on) has significantly reduced as many workers particularly in the construction trades are disappearing as the economy remains in the doldrums.

That truly is a shame.

We only started eating there this year and totally loved the place. Im over on Sunday... will it still be open then... I would like to have meal and at least give my support in their last week

That is a shame we ate there in August and the food was lovely and the staff was so anxious to please, hope they get jobs somewhere else ok

I am truly sorry to hear that. This was a great value family restaurant, with friendly cheeful service and authentic local food. Unfortunately, a restaurant that we only discovered a couple of years ago, but one that we would have loved to return to.

Real shame, but I'm afraid it's the stark reality of the current economic climate colliding head on with the over optimistic expectations of property landlords here ( Raised before on this site ).

Think the last night will be Haloween.
