Hi there- I'm looking at a week in PP 10-17th May. Good price flights - £50 - easyjet from Stansted - carjet hire - £80 ish - now all i need is an apartment. I saw 3 that appealed , in the Pine walk area - Voramar - top floor studio at £180 Tomas 1 Bed appt ( ground floor I think) again £180, and Anita - 2nd floor i bed at £210. Any advice? Obviously I need to check availability, but if there was a choice??
Many thanks,
Terri:D

Apartments

The Pine walk is very nice, but then all of PP is lovely, the apartments you mention sound very good value, I know apartments go for anything from £200 to £600 per week, so they sound quite cheep, maybe you had better snap them up.:eek

Re: Apartments

Quite agree - they sound great value. If I had a choice I'd check whether any have a balcony with a sea view - then you can just sit there & watch the world go by. Some Pine Walk ones may actually be in the road behind.

Whoever is dealing with them should be able to tell you exactly where they are - there is a map of the area here www.puertopollensa.com/MapPine.html8) 8)

Re: Apartments

Thanks for the replies. Trouble is I have not managed to get a reply to my 2 enquiries re availability. they were all on the Pine walk and with balconies overlooking the bay - too good to be true really I suppose. they were supplied from an agency called Marfran from this site -but I tried ringing the UK number they give on the website but so far no answer.
But actually our requirements have now changed as our friend is joining is and so we would need a 2 bed apartment but Marfran still have what appears to be good value properties.
We're also looking at Hotel Uyal which looks nice and seems good value esp as its offering half board for the price of b&b for our week. Anyone have anything to say about this hotel?
Thanks for your help - I'm almost there now.

Re: Apartments

Re Marfran, I'm surprised you got no answer from the UK number because the UK side is actually run by Open Holidays so you could try them - see www.openholidays.co.uk/ & let them know if the Marfran number isn't OK.

Re: Apartments

Well I did actually get an answer today from Marfran but unfortunately they had no apartments available for that week on the Pine walk. So I've booked for the hotel Uyal - so it's sorted. thanks for your help, will write a report when we get back.
Terri :)

Uyal

The Hotel Uyal is very nice, it is at the other end of the town from the pine walk, the beach is just in frount of the hotel, it is nice a quiet, in my opinion it is the best bit of the beach.
Have a great time8)

Re: Uyal

Thanks Blondie , can't wait now. Last time we were in Mallorca was on our honeymoon in Alcudia in - wait for it - 1970!!!
Never been back since - can't imagine why. The more I've investigated the island over the past few months, I really don't understand why I never considered it before now.
Still, better late than never I suppose.
Roll on 10th May!!
