Interesting ad in today's Bulletin for a lease transfer on a restaurant situated on the main road between Pollenca and the Port. Farmhouse type accommodation, seating for about 60 persons and Michelin Guide recommended. Not difficult to guess the identity but any of you guys have anymore info ??

when I read your post Bonnyslad,I thought you were talking about poor old Mulligans which closed for good last night, but then I dont think you will be too worried about that one.It seems strange closing when the school holidays are still on!!

Is that right? Mulligans closed for good? What about Dennis(Elvis) / I am flying out tomorow ( Wednesday ) At the price Mulligans charged I cannot beleive they didn't make it pay.

it´s probably can pacienci or maybe even can daniel. have to say the former has been going downhill for the last few years(just my opinion!)

Yes Grandad, Mulligans closed last night. There were 3 partners and 2 of them have decided to get out. IMO the closure of Tango affected their business drastically. My main concern is only for the staff, who have now lost their jobs.

I don't know BL but if it is Can Pacienci then that could well be because Dudley has serious health issues.

Sparky,

Yes, I heard that Dudley has been very ill for sometime and I haven't seen him around ( he has a car park slot in our basement). So methinks it's definitely Can Pacienci , L' Aup is definitely alive and kicking .

Restaurant for sale

Could it possibly be BALAIXIA?

Never liked Mulligans, cod-Irish, prices, but a lot of people did. Bit sad about it closing tho' it's been there for years and was a part of the Square, livened the place up!

Why don't you buy it bonnyladdie, reinvest and provide the culinary delights to attract your UK fans back to PP.

You would make a great "Mine Host".

cheers,

jimbo

Jimbo,

Thanks Jimbo , But there's only one " Pub Landlord " and it would be too much like hard work for me !!!!!

On a serious note , have found out more since first posting.

Both L'Aup and Can Pacienci will be no more !!!!!

BonysLad :(

I thought it might be L'Aup, it did seem very quiet when ever we went past it in the summer. Its a same when anywhere has to close.

Don't worry Grandad, Elvis is still doing hgis thing in Pub Imperial!

Adios

Dave

Not quite a PP landmark but I noticed that both The Juice Bar and the restaurant to the side of it (not the kebab shop) are both for sale. I didnt know Simon personally but he worked very hard to make a go of things. I wish him luck with his future plans
