I was sat in my usual spot under the trees past La Roca this afternoon when I felt something land on my ankle. I looked and saw what I thought was a cockroach and flicked it away. When I looked down to the floor I saw a 3cm black hornet with a bold yellow stripe. It crawled into the grass and I lost it. I stood up and thought it was best to go home as we'd been there 4 hours anyway. Just a I reached down to pick up my bag it re surfaced... I grabbed my shoe and obliterated it.
These things are extremely dangerous and a sting can result in serious medical problems.
