Aucanada - Wedding!

Yesterday afternoon we went to La Terraza in Aucanada for a drink and watch the world go by. I noticed that at the next table there were 3 people - a vicar, a bride in wedding dress with bouquet and the groom!10 minutes later a handful of people turned up and they all went through the small wooden gate and walked to an area under the trees. A simple service a obviously happened. What a back drop for a simple,small wedding. Thankfully the weather was fine - I am not sure what would have happened if it was raining! As usual with Pollensa and the surrounding area - the unexpected occurs when you least expect.
As an aside La Terraza is a great place to go for a drink with a fab view. The food is great as well - for a snack and the waiters are friendly. This is the bar not the main restaurant which has prices on a par with Stay, La Longa.

Agreed - La Terraza in Alcanada has been one of our discoveries this year. In fact, we really like Alcanada itself. So quiet and peaceful, with some very smart properties.

The restaurant and bar is in a great location, with a view of the coast that reminded me of Italy, rather than Mallorca.

We too have been there when a wedding was on, and it was exactly as you describe. Very low key, but a lovely, simple setting.

Well worth a visit - It is 15 minutes in the car from the Port. They do the best (and biggest) Club Sandwich that I have ever had!
