There's a forum on Facebook today which talks about pickpockets targeting Lidl store in "Puerto Pollensa". It is being spoken about as 4 or 5 incidents EACH DAY with no action by the store and cctv not in operation. I'm not someone who's not street cred but the story sounds to me as Chinese Whispers or Urban Myth reaching fantasy proportions.

Yes I read that too...I know there has alaways been a problem there and in the other supermarket ..there has also been increased reports of pickpockets at the bus stops/ on buses ..

Last year at the bus stop a guy was pick pocketed, I thought what to do and as I normally wear shorts with a belt I bought a wallet with a chain attached so the pick pocket now has to undo the chain from my belt hoop before getting the wallet, as I find this a fiddle to undo I hope they do to. Chain attached to belt loop and pocket buttoned up simple precautions help stop crime.

I just wondered if the pick pocketing problem is as bad as it sounds there have been lots of posts on Tripadvisor which create a bad picture we have been coming to PP for almost 30 years and haven't seen these issues before!
Hopefully the reports are just a bit of exaggeration!
