Just browsing Thomas Cook website and came across an 11 night break in Aug that I think is a steal but I know little about these apt's so thought the friendly community maybe able to help me. We usually stay the other end of the Pine Walk (Oro Playa, Playa Mar).
So mum dad and 11 yr old girl, can anyone give me information that would sway me? I'm after info on location = walk into town to suitability for 11 yr old in terms of other kids and fun. And anything else that would be of use.
Thanks in advance

Hi Mcterry, the Bahia Pollensa apts are in the Llenaire area so 20/30 minute walk into the Port whereas the Montelin are in the Pinaret area and a 10 minute walk. The Montelin are only a couple of minutes from the beach and you can use the Villa Concha facilities. Hope this helps :).

Thats very helpful thank you. So on location its Montalin.

Hi mcrterry, I would agree the Montelin apartments location wise are superb. They are situated in a quiet residential area but only a few minutes stroll into the centre of town. I have never stayed there but our apartment overlooks The Montelin and it always looks very nice and well maintained. The beautiful South Sandy Beach is a two minute walk away. Perfect for an 11 yers old:)

.............and you can use the Villa Concha facilities. :).

The Villa Concha facilities are good :) (although I have not stayed there in 10 years)

Good pool area etc will allow your 11 yo to meet and play with other children in safety while you relax with a drink :D

my choice would be the bahia have stayed at both and the bahia wins hands down

Montelin or Bahia Pollensa

My choice too would be the Bahia Pollensa. You don't have to use other facilities as the Bahia has its own pool, bar etc.
It too is only two minutes from the sandy beach, ideal for kids.
Llenaire is also a quiet area.

I hope this is useful.

The Gheko:)

The Montelin has a pool but no a bar. They are self catering apartments whereas the Bahia is possibly more of an aparthotel. The Villa Concha has a bar, restaurant and entertainment (kids disco, flamenco nights) which may be a good back up with an eleven year old. I think what would sway it for me is the short walk into town :)

When we stayed at the bahia in 2010 people were putting towels on sunbeds at midnight

"When we stayed at the bahia in 2010 people were putting towels on sunbeds at midnight"

Very, very sad.......

No moon bathing they didn't actually use them until well after lunch!!!!

I knew you wouldn't let me down!!!
Montalin it is me thinks! Now let the Travel Agent bargaining commence.
Thanks you all once again

Our apartment is next door to The Montelin and they are doing lots of work on it. We arrived in the Port yesterday and have been watching this morning. Lots of things beng ripped out so looks as if they could be refurbing the rooms. It's a very popular place due to it's location but it was looking a little tired and in need of a freshen up.

Very sad to see a beautiful palm in the garden has succumbed to the evil weavil though :(

It is great to hear that there is a lot of money being spent on refurbs isn't it Debz1......and proves at least some people have confidence in the future of the Port :D:D.

Moon bathing indeed, some firms will stop at nothing to get guests,a word of warning though! Wear your swimming goggles, those bats do fly rather low.:p
