Bar imperial

Noticed the bar Imperial is now tapas on a big scale. Never tried it on this visit but even for the first week in feb he was not short of trade. Will be interesting to see what gets posted as the year goes on.

Its still a bar with a tapas menu as long as your arm. Sorry if that's bored anyone.

But is Toni running it still ? He has been there for many years and has run the place for last couple of years once Carlos and his family left. Toni does not normally open this early, as he is normally in Tenerife. I think i saw someone else in the upstairs flat a couple of weeks ago.
Also, does anyone know what has happened to Phil 'the voice' and his wife Nicky. Phil did not sing at the Imperial last season. Thanks all.

I don't know who is running the bar but Phil and Nicky are no longer living here, they returned to the UK last year.

Just noticed this post so thought I'd reply - it is now run by the delightful Pepe from the Restaurant Siurell in Llenaire. Charming host, great tapas and, in my opinion, well worth a trip!

It was very busy in April and looked very inviting - we didn't go in but the tapas looked good. I wonder why they have kept the Pub Imperial name as it seems a bit off-putting given that it is now very much a tapas bar?

Wonder what has happened to Toni ? Think he found it a tough season last year but he had been there for a number of years. A real character. All the best to the new venture though.

Bar Imperial

We were out in PP over Easter hols and had a great meal there. Super tapas and quite a few locals who popped in too. Give it a try if you would like somewhere new to try!
