Story going around that BARRHEAD TRAVEL are going to run planes to PALMA from Glasgow.Wonder if they will also take over the hotels.

I had heard that somebody was going to fill the void but the person who was telling me couldnt remember who. Barrhead Travel have IMO always been a good company to deal with. Sounds excisiting!

yes it was Barrhead travel, but they say they are chartering planes,no mention of hotels

Re Barrhead Travel. There was an article in the Bulletin and it said that they were intending taking some of the globespan slots to service their med cruise hols and package holidays. Neither of which sounded as if it was going to help Scottish flight only visitors. I know Barrhead Travel have a good reputation for package holidays etc, but I am not aware of them being an active player in the Flight Only market

The large Barrhead Travel shop in Silverburn has a staff memeber sitting near the door with a notice on the desk saying if interested in BA flights(their charters) to Palma and Barcelona, to jusk ask for info, so that looks a bit like they might be doing flight only.

But no doubt at a price!

Read in a flight web site that BA flights for Barrhead Travel could be small type aircraft and could not find details of times or costs to date.

Received full refunds from our credit card company for GSM flights, now booked with Thomson and Thomas Cook at double the cost of GSM.

There is a market in Scotland waiting to be filled at Glasgow and Edinburgh.
